Obituary

William R. Villano, of Haddon Heights, formerly of Haddon Township, was called home to heaven, on November 24, 2022, to rejoin his daughter, Kareen Villano. He was 88 years old. Bill was the beloved husband of Patricia (nee Peraria) for 64 years. Loving and cherished father of Kareen Villano (deceased) and Janine Villano, devoted father-in-law to Melissa Martell. He was predeceased by his parents, Nicholas and Rose Villano and siblings, Edward Villano, Al Villano, Ray Villano, Thelma LaRue and Dorothy Gallagher. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Both Bill and Pat were raised in Camden and Bill first met the love of his life Pat, when they both were in their elementary school band. Following his graduation from Camden High School, Bill enlisted in the US Army and after spending two years in Germany was honorably discharged in 1956. Bill and Pat resumed their relationship and were married in 1958. Blessed with two loving daughters, Bill and Pat settled in Haddon Township.

Bill was a proud employee of Mannington Mills in Salem, NJ and continued his college education and obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. Bill and Pat remained active in the Mannington Mills retirement club and were frequent participants in Mannington's Fitness Club.

Following retirement, Bill and Pat enjoyed cruises and were fortunate to vacation in Alaska and Hawaii, with their daughters. Bill was also a talented drummer and in his younger years was a member of a popular band, playing at local weddings, halls and night clubs.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
