He is predeceased by his parents August and Mary Tomei as well as his sister Rose Nelson.Vincent was a proud first generation Italian American with an extraordinary work ethic, who valued a higher education. Born in East Chicago, Vincent was an excellent student all through elementary into high school, where he went to Lane Tech studying engineering. There he worked his way up to Lt Colonel in the ROTC program. After high school he joined the army. During WWII, he served as a sergeant. While at Ft Dix, he met the love of his life, Marie. After his discharge, he went to Temple University and graduated at the top of his class with a degree of Bachelor of Science with Honors. He was also a member of Beta Gamma Sigma, National Business Honorary Society, and president of the Honorary Accounting Society, all while living at the YMCA. He soon married and after graduation, he applied at Wm E Howe & Co. CPA's. From there, he worked his way up to Senior Partner. Before attaining his success as a CPA and Estate Planner, he had jobs delivering Dr Pepper, working at Whitman's Chocolates, and painting houses with his new wife's father. Vincent and Marie bought a house in Haddon Heights and raised a family. He was an active member of the Sons of Italy, Haddon Heights Lodge #2311 as well as the Knights of Columbus, and past commander of American Legion Post 47. He and Marie would love going to their condo in Ocean City to spend time with their grandchildren or to enjoy the bright lights of Atlantic City. Vince loved the Phillies and the Flyers and had season tickets to both. He was a devout Catholic and parishioner of St Rose of Lima Church. He and Marie moved to Florida in 2015 to live with their son Mark and daughter-in-law Chris. In his later years he enjoyed watching Fox News, Blue Bloods, and The Godfather.
