Thomas Edward "Eddie" Costello of Barrington, NJ passed away on August 25, 2012. Age 92. Survived by his loving wife of over 62 years Margaret Christie Costello, children Denise (Jack) Maher of New Alexandria, PA, Thomas S. Costello of Vallejo, CA, Robert D. (Beck) Costello of Pilesgrove, NJ. Grandchildren: Christie Chandler of Wenonah, NJ, Muriel Maher of Greensburg, PA and great-grandchildren Elise and RJ Chandler. Also survived by brothers-in-law Charles Dunner, Harry Quinn, and Jack Cassey, sister-in-law Eleanor (Ed) Vekony.
Eddie was predeceased by his parents Joseph Francis and Mary Magdalena Hart Costello and sisters Mary Blyth, Katherine Groff Driscoll, Norma Anderson, Ann Coxson, Teresa Dunner, Alice Quinn and sister-in-law Norma Cassey.
Mr. Costello served in the Philippines with the US Navy during WWII. He worked in electronics, retiring from RCA and Precision Automation. Eddie had a great sense of humor and loved hearing and especially telling jokes. Ed was proud of his Irish heritage and his true passion was gardening, enjoying giving away small trees he had started. His most important job of all was being a dad. Family vacations were paramount, driving to New England and hiking through the mountains left his family with a love of the outdoors.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation Thurs, 9 to 10:30 AM at TERRANOVA FUNERAL HOME, 402 White Horse Pike, Haddon Heights, NJ. Followed by his Memorial Service at 10:30 AM. Entombment Locustwood Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions to the charity of the donor's choice.
