Ruth M. Ahrens (nee Gurling) of Cherry Hill, formerly of Haddon Heights, passed away on April 11, 2016, at the age of 91. Beloved wife of John "Jack" Ahrens. Dear sister of Robert (Carol) Gurling. Also survived by loving nieces and nephews.
Ruth grew up in Haddon Heights and graduated from Haddon Heights H.S. in 1942. She was the head of the typing pool for the Camden County Welfare Board. Ruth was very active at the First United Methodist Church of Haddon Heights, where she was a past secretary, of the Administrative Board and a past secretary, of the Board of Trustees. Ruth and Jack enjoyed traveling, especially on cruises.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Viewing, Monday 9 to 11 A.M., followed by her Funeral Service at 11 A.M. TERRANOVA FUNERAL HOME, 402 White Horse Pike, Haddon Heights. Interment Colestown Cemetery.
