Obituary

Born on October 28, 1936, to Frank and Josephine Olejniczak, Ruth grew up in Camden, NJ. She was a proud graduate of St. Joseph’s High School, where she made many wonderful lifelong friends. She married Stanley Dziomba on January 31, 1959. They moved to Audubon, NJ, where Stanley still resides.

Ruth was incredibly social. She loved being with people and organizing get-togethers. From dinners with friends to craft classes to holiday gatherings to vacations near and far, Ruth was always the center of the social group, making new friends everywhere that she went.

And she went everywhere. Ruth has been to five of the seven continents, crossing the Panama Canal, climbing the Great Wall of China, seeing the pyramids of Giza, and visiting many other places.

Ruth loved the beach. From shell collecting to cocktails at sunset, she spent as many days on the beach as possible. In 2001, after retiring from full-time work, Ruth and Stanley bought a condominium in Bonita Springs, FL. The selling point of the community they chose was a private beach.

In Florida, Ruth learned to play bridge. She and Stanley played with many groups at the Pelican Landing community as well as in their home in Audubon, NJ, and at the Mabel Kay Senior Center in Haddonfield, NJ.

When not at the beach, Ruth loved to garden. She was a member of the Horticultural Society of South Jersey, where she won the Best In Show award twice at their annual flower show. She was incredibly proud of her African violets and her ability to get orchids to rebloom year after year.

Ruth is survived by her husband Stanley, her son Paul, and his wife Terri, her daughter Darlene, and her grand dog Billie.

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing, Friday, October 16th, from 10 to 11 AM, followed by her Funeral Mass at 11 AM at St. Rose of Lima Church, 300 Kings Hwy, Haddon Heights, NJ 08035.
