Ronald K. Bailey of Shelby, NC formerly of Haddon Heights, passed away on January 18, 2022, at the age of 82. Son of the late Edythe and Frank Bailey.

Ronald attended Lafayette College in Easton, PA. He received a baseball scholarship and graduated in 1961, with a degree in Chemical Engineering. While there, he lettered in baseball with a varsity pitching record of 10 wins and 2 losses. Ronald also attended the University of Pennsylvania in 1959 and 1960, where he studied English and Cleveland Community College in 2003, where he studied Spanish.

Ronald worked a total of 33 years in the lithium industry as either a Senior Development or Process Engineer for Foote Mineral Company in Exton, PA and King Mountain, NC and then worked at FMC Lithium Division in Bessemer City, NC.

He played either baseball, fast-pitch softball or slow-pitch softball, after college. Ronald coached baseball of all ages including American Legion Baseball.

Ronald's main hobby was amateur radio and his FCC radio call was AA4S. He also enjoyed traveling and sightseeing throughout the great state of North Carolina.

His Graveside Service will be Thursday, January 27, 2022, at 10 AM, at Locustwood Memorial Park, 1500 Route 70 West, Cherry Hill, NJ 08002.
