Robert Eugene Olivieri of Williamstown formerly of Philadelphia, passed away peacefully in his sleep on October 21, 2023, at the age of 97.

He is survived by his daughter Gloriajean Perri (Gus), grandsons Robert (Sandy), and Joshua (Christina), great grandchildren, Jonathan, Maria Elvira and Lucas.

Robert served in WWII having been drafted at the age of 17. He fought in the Battle of the Bulge under General Patton in Europe and did a second tour of duty in the Philippines. Upon his honorable discharge when the war was over, he met and married Elvira Sassani. They had one daughter.

He worked at the Philadelphia Navy Yard for over 30 years. Robert retired in 1972 and became the Director of UNICO Village. He held that position for another 30 years. Robert was also President of UNICO National and Director of ARC Rainbow for several years.

He was a Jack of all trades, who loved helping people any way he could. He would bring turkey dinners to the poor on Thanksgiving and he mentored many people.

Robert was loved by many. He will be sorely missed. May he rest in peace.

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Wednesday, October 25, 2023, from 10 to 11 AM, followed by his Funeral Mass at 11 AM at Our Lady of Peace Parish, St. Mary's Church, 32 Carroll Avenue, Williamstown, NJ. Interment SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.
