Obituary

Richard F. Sunderland, Jr., of Bellmawr, formerly of Deptford, passed away on September 26, 2026, at the age of 62. Beloved son of the late Richard and Frances (nee Ford) Sunderland. Devoted father of Megan Dominik (Matthew), Jennifer Fowler (Robert) and Courtney Branchek (Christopher). Loving grandfather of Shane, Giuliana, Mckenzie, Kylee, Robert, Kayden, Jake, Cole, Wells, Baby Girl Branchek and the late Amelia. Richard is also survived by his significant other, Janine Trench; his former wife, Janet Baker, six sisters, three brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews.

Rich was a devoted father, dedicated Poppy and a true man of God. His faith was a guiding part of his life, and he trusted in God's plan.

Family was Rich's greatest joy. He was always there for his children and grandchildren, proudly supporting them through every game, competition, celebration, and milestone. Becoming a Poppy brought him some of his greatest happiness, and his grandchildren were truly the light of his life.

He spent his younger years playing baseball, riding his moped, and building cars with his dad. He is known by many for his humor, dad jokes and quick wit. He made everyone feel special.

Rich always took pride in leaving his legacy in his three daughters and grandchildren. He enjoyed spending time with them on camping weekends, game nights, "fiestas", campfires, sporting events, and anything that brought the family together.

Rich leaves behind memories of faith, love, laughter, and cherished memories. He will forever be remembered as a wonderful dad, a dedicated Poppy, and a man whose greatest joy was his family.
