Richard A. DeMichele, Esq. of Cherry Hill, passed away after a brief illness on Jan. 28, 2020, at the age of 87. Beloved husband of Joyce (nee Finley). Devoted father of Richard DeMichele (Sharon Dostmann) and Gregory DeMichele. Loving poppy of Amanda, Libby, Brooke and Emma DeMichele. Dear brother of Dr. Joseph DeMichele (Regina).
Richard was born and raised in Philadelphia. He graduated from South Philadelphia High School for Boys in 1950, Villanova University in 1954 and Villanova University Law School in 1957. Richard practiced law in the public sector and in private practice, for more than 50 years, including as the managing attorney for Traveler's Insurance Company. He received comfort and joy from his favorite past times, gardening and especially pottery, leaving many treasured pieces. Richard was an active and supportive member of St. Thomas More Church, for 47 years. He will be remembered as a consummate gentleman, who was a loving husband and a caring father.
Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation on Saturday, February 1, 2020 from 10 AM to 12 PM, followed by his Funeral Mass at 12 PM, at St. Thomas More Church, 1439 Springdale Road, Cherry Hill, NJ 08003. Interment is private.
