Obituary

Rachel V. Stumpo (nee Hobart) of Mt. Laurel, passed away on July 10, 2024, at the age of 79. Beloved wife of Frank. Devoted mother of Nicholas Stumpo (Dorisanne), Frances Stumpo, Suzanne Acquaviva (Tony), Christopher Stumpo (Joy) and the late Mark Stumpo. Loving grandmother of Rachel, Christopher, Nicholette and Gianna. Dear sister of the late Joseph and Jeanette.

Mom was a high spirited high energy mom; a multitasker for as long as we all remember way before all the modern conveniences of today.

Mom used to tell us her three favorite things in life were the 3 D's …dancing, decorating and dogs; but she'd also always add not necessarily in that order.

In the 70's mom had various opportunities and careers to choose from. Mom's stunning looks got her an offer to model in New York City for Clairol. At that time being a mother of 5 she wholeheartedly chose her family because for mom, family was everything. Around the time the youngest of us (Christopher) was at school age, mom worked her way up through many different jobs. Her first job, she had told us she applied at the well-known Melrose diner in South Philadelphia but they told her they couldn't hire her because she was too pretty. Mom's last job was the managerial position for Upper Bay Counseling & Support Services in Elkton Maryland, which she had just retired from around 6 years earlier.

We are all shocked, we are all heartbroken.

Left with many memories, pictures and videos to watch, but that could never take the place of a kiss and hug, hello and goodbye; but until we are with mom again, we have each other, the love and support of family & friends, the cherished most important part of life.

We already miss you mom, we love you.
