Patience C. Merkel (nee Kelly), of Pine Hill, passed away on Aug. 29, 2015, at the age of 92. Beloved wife of the late Lemuel S. Merkel. Dear sister of the late Ruth and Adelaide. She is survived by her daughter, Kathleen, her son, Kenneth and by nieces and nephews.
Patience was born in Sicklerville, NJ on February 24, 1923, then moved to Philadelphia in the 1930's. She then moved back to New Jersey and resided in Pine Hill until the early 90's. While there, Pat was known as a local beautician, for well over 20 years, spending a short time in education and salon management. Her remaining years were spent at the Edgewater Senior Community and Manor Care.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Memorial Service, Tuesday at 1:30 P.M. TERRANOVA FUNERAL HOME, 402 White Horse Pike, Haddon Heights.
