Mary D.
Lucci
Jul 2, 1920 — Apr 7, 2021
Mary Lucci (nee Terranova) of Chalfont, PA, died peacefully at home with family present. She will be joining her husband Joe, of 66 years and they will once again be holding hands and telling us stories of their days as vaudeville dancing stars. She was also preceded in death by her sisters Rose, Catherine and Rita and brother Joseph. She is survived by her children Rosann Lucci-Cataldi (Nick), Michael Lucci (EG) and Joseph J. Lucci, Jr. (Colleen). She is also survived by her grandchildren Maryann Valentino (Michael), Gary Milos (Tammi), Angelina Castor (Michael), Amanda Lucci and Courtney Lucci. The surviving great grandchildren are Brandon, Rocco, Vincenzo, Santino, Tanzy and Twyla. She will be dearly missed, she was the matriarch and wore her title proudly. She was the epitome of a loving mother, devoted wife, doting grandmother and appreciative neighbor. Her family was the most important aspect of her life, she loved unconditionally and without reservations. Her nieces and nephews were "her" family, their triumphs were her triumphs and she loved hearing about their children's weddings, births and graduations.
Her latest list of friends (some she called her friends for life) were her caregivers from "Seniors Helping Seniors" agency. They included Annie, Janet, Bette, Joyce, Pat and Kathy. It takes a village and they were an integral element in allowing her to remain at home. The Crossroads Hospice group brought another group of friends, some she adopted, but all were welcomed. She loved having them visit including the "Chaplain" that sang songs for her. Thank you Christian. Her doctors were according to her the "best in the world" from Dr. Sestito to Dr. Seavy, Dr. Smullen and Dr. Holly.
She celebrated her 100 th Birthday with a "drive by" party; she practiced her Queenly wave for weeks before the party, wore her Tiara and Sash with attitude and loved seeing herself on the 6 o'clock news. She loved seeing the wonderful turnout "just for her."
Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing, Monday, April 12, 2021, from 10 AM to 12 PM, followed by her Funeral Mass at 12 PM at St. Jude Church, 321 West Butler Avenue, Chalfont, PA. Interment St. John Neumann Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Crossroads Hospice, 523 Plymouth Road, Ste. 225, Bldg. M, Plymouth Meeting, PA 19462.
