Marie Margaret Tursi, 84, died on January 15, 2015. Daughter to the late Marie (Zinni) Greer and Marcus Greer, loving wife of the late Francis Joseph Tursi, Jr. She is survived by children Dr. Francis Mark Tursi, Lynn Capista and husband Francis, Angela Silverman and husband Gary, Michael Tursi and wife Tammy, grandchildren Joseph, Matthew, Lindsay, Nicholas, Julie, David, Gabriel and Benjamin, great-granddaughter Cora and beloved friend of 63 years Mrs. Edwina Alber.
Marie was very active in caring for and educating her family. She was president of the PTO, worked as an instructional assistant and was secretary to the principal in the Upper Darby school system. She was a clerk in the Media Courthouse, volunteered at Delaware County Memorial Hospital, and was a member of the St Andrews Catholic Church choir in Drexel Hill, Pa.
There will be a service and funeral at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery on Monday, January 19 at 10:00 AM in Erie, Pa.
