Lucille M.
Magliocco
Feb 21, 1936 — Jan 3, 2026
Lucille M. Magliocco passed away on January 3, 2026, at the age of 89. Loving sister of her twin brother, Salvatore Magliocco (the late Theresa) and the late Marie Pelullo (the late John), the late Anna Grassini (Louis) and the late George Magliocco (the late Lara). Dear aunt of Linda Pelullo and the late Stephen Magliocco. She is also survived by many dear friends.
Many former Beneficial Bank customers will remember Lucille as the friendly teller, assistant manager and then manager, at the bank's Broad Street and Snyder Avenue location, in South Philadelphia. Lucille was also the manager at the bank's Woodland Avenue branch. While there, she was the secretary of the Woodland Avenue Businessmen's Association. She returned to the Broad and Snyder Branch and continued to be promoted, eventually retiring from that location as a Regional Vice-President of Beneficial Savings Bank.
Lucille was not only active in the South West Philadelphia neighborhood, but also, in South Philadelphia, where she was born and raised. Lucille was the Treasurer, Vice-President and then President of the South Philadelphia Lions Club. She was also a member of the South Philadelphia Lioness Club.
Lucille was a very generous person, not only to the South Philadelphia Lions Club, which she was devoted to, but also to others. She would often pay for lunch for police officers and for families with young children, who were eating at one of her favorite places, the Penrose Diner.
Lucille loved cats, crossword puzzles and cryptogram puzzles. She will be dearly missed by her family and many friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing Wednesday, January 7, 2026 from 10 to 11 AM, followed by her Funeral Mass at 11 AM at St. Richard Church, 3010 S. 18th Street, Philadelphia, PA 19145. Interment is private.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to St. Richard Church, at the above address, or to Morris Animal Refuge, 1242 Lombard Street, Philadelphia, PA 19147.
