Kareen J. Villano RN BSN of Haddon Twp., passed away on December 14, 2021, after a 5 year long, courageous battle with tongue and mouth cancer. She was 60 years old. Beloved and cherished daughter of William and Patricia (nee Peraria) Villano. Loving and devoted sister of Janine Villano (Melissa Martell) who cared for her throughout her illness. She is also survived by her many homies.

Kareen graduated from Haddon Township High School in 1979. That year, she was a member of the HTHS field hockey team and the HTHS championship softball team and was inducted, along with her teammates, into the HTHS Athletic Hall of Fame. Kareen was a surgical nurse, on the heart team at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, for many years. After that, she worked as a dedicated employee for the State of New Jersey Department of Health. Kareen was a proud participant in the Bike MS: City to Shore Ride. She was athletic and loved to travel. Kareen skied in Austria and Germany and visited family and friends in Alaska, Hawaii, Wildwood and Cape May. She loved her dogs, Sixer, Misty and Benjie. Kareen honored and cherished her family members who passed before her. She prayed for them and spoke of them often. Kareen had a great sense of humor and was a very kind and generous person, who will be dearly missed by everyone who knew her.

Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation, Saturday December 18, 2021, from 12 PM to 1 PM, followed by her Memorial Service at 1 PM at TERRANOVA FUNERAL HOME, 402 White Horse Pike, Haddon Heights. (Masks are required)
