Josephine Rita Barkhamer (nee Vittolino), 70, of Haddon Township, NJ, passed away on February 1, 2020.

Beloved wife of Robert Barkhamer, Jr., for 47 years, they married on June 3, 1972 in Philadelphia, PA. She was a loving mother to Jason (Amy) and Gregory (Kim) and an exceptionally generous Nonna to Katie (17), Alexander (16), Jack (13), Dylan (13), and dear sister to the late Salvatore Vittolino.

Josephine was born in Philadelphia to George and Josephine Vittolino on May 18, 1949. She was a graduate of South Philadelphia High School. Following school, she worked as a typist and secretary at several companies including the Redevelopment Authority of Philadelphia.

Her passions included movies, travel, cooking, and creative writing of stories, a novel, children's book, and poetry, some that were award winning and published in poetry anthologies. She was a friend to all who met her with a positive spirit and enthusiastic laugh.

Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation which will begin at 12:00 pm Monday February 10 ^th , 2020 at St. Teresa of Calcutta Parish/St. John Church, 809 Park Avenue, Collingswood, NJ 08108. Memorial Mass will follow starting at 12:30 pm. Cremation and interment will be held privately.
