John L. Berstecher of Laurel Springs, passed away on January 25, 2025, at the age of 72. Beloved husband of Karynlee Berstecher (nee Cornwell). Devoted father of Kira (Wilian), Joshua (Aimee), Rachel and Adam Berstecher. Loving grandfather of Benjamin and Julian Vivar-Berstecher. Dear brother of Charles (Janice) Berstecher and Nancy (Juan) Rodrigues. Uncle of Anthony Rodrigues and Matthew Berstecher.

John was dedicated to his community. He worked in sales for over 40 years. He retired from Nabisco/Mondelez after more than 20 years of service in 2017. He additionally supported his Catholic religious community. He was a deacon in the Roman Catholic Church, Camden Diocese supporting St. Agnes, St. John Vianney, and Our Lady of Guadalupe parishes, later transitioning to the Catholic Orthodox faith, and ordination as a priest in 2024. John, often known as the Cookie Man, most appreciated his ability to bring his passion for food access together with networking in his community.

Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation, Friday, February 7, 2025, from 9 to 11 AM, followed by his Funeral Service at 11 AM at TERRANOVA FUNERAL HOME, 402 White Horse Pike, Haddon Heights. Interment Brig. Gen. Wm. C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery.
