Jerry Didomenico,
Jr.
Jan 13, 1935 — Nov 9, 2024
Jerry DiDomenico, Jr. of Haddon Heights, passed away on November 9, 2024 at the age of 89. Beloved husband of the late Carol. Devoted father of Christopher DiDomenico (Jennifer McCarthy) and Susan Leonard (Philip). Loving grandfather of Alexandria Petrunis (Anthony), Christopher DiDomenico, Jr. (Samantha) and Justin Leonard. Dear brother of the late Alfredo, Jimmy, George, Fred, Nora Maier and Rose Glodek.
Jerry was a man of many talents and deep devotion to his family. He served in the Army Reserves and later worked as a machinist at General Electric alongside his brother George. Jerry was also a member of the Comics division of the Philadelphia Mummers, where his infectious spirit shone through, particularly in his signature Mummers strut. A passionate sports lover and naturally gifted athlete, Jerry not only enjoyed playing golf but also served as a coach for both his children's Little League baseball and softball teams. He was a Ranger for the PGA golf tournaments and had a love for the thrill of the casino, often sharing that joy with his family. Known for his sense of humor, Jerry was always eager to make others laugh and brighten their day. Later in life, he became a devoted caregiver to his wife, Carol, and after her passing, he continued to honor her memory by visiting her nearly every day to sing to her. Though Jerry spent his final years battling Alzheimer's disease, his vibrant personality, kindness, and love for his family and friends will forever live on in their hearts.
