Janet M.
Miller
d. Feb 2, 2026
Janet M. Miller passed away peacefully on February 2, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Janet was born in Camden, NJ, to the late Mary and Nicholas Marterella. Raised in Pennsauken, NJ, she started school at age four and was a graduate of St. Peter's Elementary School and Camden Catholic High School, Class of 1952.
Upon graduation, she worked for RCA Victor Corporation in Camden before leaving to start a family. As her children grew, she reentered the workforce, working for Bradley Corporation in Mt. Laurel for twelve years. When Bradley Corporation relocated out of state, Janet quickly pivoted to start a new career as a CCSR with EMD Corporation in Gibbstown, NJ, retiring after 20 years.
During her younger years, Janet was a singer with local big bands and, in the 1960s, was a founding member of the Haddonfield chapter of the Jaycettes, an auxiliary group of the Jaycees. Janet was often referred to by her friends and family as a "ray of sunshine" and the "hostess with the mostes'." She was an excellent cook and loved to entertain family and friends.
Her favorite role was that of Mom-Mom to her two grandchildren, whom she showered with love, songs, and special treats. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Janet is survived by her beloved daughters, Lynda Wisnoski (George) and Lori Arcari (Tony); her grandchildren, Natalie and Alek Wisnoski; many nieces and nephews; and her loving cousins. She was predeceased by her siblings, Dolores D'Imperio and Vincent Marterella.
Family and friends are welcome to attend her visitation on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, from 10–11 a.m., followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 300 Kings Highway, Haddon Heights, NJ 08035. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Camden Catholic High School Scholarship & Tuition Assistance Fund at https://givebutter.com/fSs3op
