In the early 1950's, Gloria moved from New Jersey to Philadelphia, PA. Gloria attended John Bartram High School, where her goal was to become a teacher. While attending high school, she was a Counselor's Aide, Library Aide, and member of the Basketball Club. Gloria graduated with a high school diploma in 1954.
In 1957, Gloria June Cole married Roosevelt Taylor, Sr. and lived in West Philadelphia. They later resided in Yeadon, PA, where they raised three children: Glynn Clarence Taylor, Teri Ann Taylor, and Roosevelt Taylor, Jr. The family later moved to Magnolia, NJ, and finally to Lawnside, NJ.
Gloria had a love of playing the numbers and shopping on QVC. Gloria always enjoyed entertaining and spending time with family and friends. She was president and founder of the Social Club, Charisma, which held annual banquets, dances and bus trips to Atlantic City, NJ.
