Frederick Michael Schurr, "Fred 44" left this world on January 22, 2026, after a long illness, at the age of 66. Fred's kind spirit, beautiful blue eyes and incredible bear hugs will live with us forever. Fred is survived by his beloved wife, Adele (nee Trauger) and his three children, Megan Castronova (Tom), Freddy Schurr, and Kelsey Schurr, his stepchildren, Alexis McCorkel (Donny) and Anthony Bonfiglio and his four grandchildren, Aubrey, Emma, Amelia and Oliver. Fred was the oldest of six siblings: Harry, Tommy, Jim, Susie and Michael. He was pre-deceased by his parents, Harry and Patricia Schurr.

A long-time glazier, Fred worked for The International Union of Painters and Allied Trades Local 252. More important to Fred than the work he loved were his friends and family. He was an avid golfer and lifetime Phillies fan and lover of the beach. He was happiest playing a round of golf with his brothers, attending a Phillies game on a beautiful summer night, or walking hand in hand with Adele on the beach, all the while enjoying a Michelob Ultra. He also enjoyed outdoor concerts and music of all types, until the very end of his life. His gentleness and infectious smile made you feel happy to be in his presence.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 29, 2026, from 9 to 11 AM, followed by his Memorial Service at 11 AM at Terranova Funeral Home, 402 White Horse Pike, Haddon Heights, NJ 08035. Please wear your favorite golf or Phillies attire.
