Frank S.
Bisconti
May 3, 1931 — Apr 14, 2026
Frank Bisconti, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on April 14th, 2026 at the age of 94.
Born on May 3rd, 1931, his parents immigrated from Italy, he was the first member of his family to be born in the United States. Frank carried both pride in his Italian heritage and a deep appreciation for the many opportunities living in the US afforded him.
He answered the patriotic call to serve his country during the Korean War where he earned 2 Bronze Stars, a National Defense Service Medal and a United Nations Service Medal. He was quickly elevated to the rank of Sergeant while demonstrating the strength and quiet courage that would define his life.
In his early years, Frank worked numerous jobs, beginning as early as 10 years old sweeping floors in a nearby auto garage, then in his teens as a waiter, where his strong work ethic and natural warmth left a lasting impression on everyone he met. He later built a long and dedicated career in construction, eventually establishing his own business. Through hard work, perseverance, and integrity, he created not only a livelihood, but a legacy.
A man of deep and abiding faith, Frank found strength, guidance, and comfort in his beliefs throughout his life. His faith was not only personal, but something he lived by daily—through kindness, humility, and the way he cared for others.
Family was always at the center of everything Frank did. He was a steady presence, a provider, and a role model—especially to the younger men in his family. They looked up to him for his strength and wisdom. He led not with words alone, but through action, showing what it meant to be dependable, generous, and devoted.
He will be remembered for his resilience, his unwavering dedication to his family, and the quiet dignity with which he lived. His legacy lives on in the values he instilled and the many lives he touched.
Frank is survived by his wife Josephine of 70 years, his three children and spouses: John and Karen Bisconti, Maria Simonetti and Joseph Ponzo, Carol Bisconti and Raymond Farnesi; his grandchildren, Tiffany, Frank, Krista, Jordan and Valeria, sister-in-law, Lucy O'Toole, and her children Kimberly and Anthony and his niece Nancy Serrano. He also had 4 great grandchildren, Giuliana, Gabriella, Frank and Emily.
We will certainly miss his loving presence every day, his famous warm reassuring hugs and gentle wisdom.
Frank also had a special love for animals, finding comfort and joy in their companionship throughout his life.
In his honor, we have set up a donation fund to PAWS which is the Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society that supports animals in need and continually strives to be a no Kill City https://secure.phillypaws.org/fundraiser/7191380
