Obituary

Evelyn J. Przybylski, age 95, of Columbus, NJ passed away peacefully on Monday, January 5, 2026. She shared a devoted marriage with her beloved husband, a distinguished U.S Marine, with whom she is now reunited with in heaven, along with two of their children.

Born on April 9,1930 in Carbondale, PA, to the late Frank and Pauline Halupke, Evelyn's life was rooted in faith and grace, she attended Mass weekly at her local church. In her professional life, Evelyn contributed to SmithKline Beecham, working as Supervisor within the Penicillin Production Plant, before settling into retirement in 1993. She had a passion for travel and explored parts of the world with her family, having an appreciation for fine arts and décor. In her spare time, she painted ceramics, needlepoint, puzzles-building, enjoyed mystery shows and caring for animals.

Evelyn adored her life, her children and grandchildren and is fondly remembered for her sweet laugh, fun-loving and supportive nature, and bringing family together to celebrate joyous birthdays and holidays. She was an exceptional cook, especially known for her professional-style holiday cookies and embodying family values in ways her children and grandchildren continue to emulate. She often reminded those she loved to 'do what makes you happy', a message she shared with genuine love and quiet wisdom. She was truly the pillar of her family, taking pride in watching her children and grandchildren flourish.

Evelyn is predeceased by her children, Joanne and Gerald (Gary) Przybylski, and her siblings Mary Halupke, Barbara Halupke-Cerra, Michael Halupke, Joane Halupke, Phyllis Halupke-Kucharski and Basil Halupke. She is survived by her two children, Leo Matthew Przybylski and Laura Spinelli (Przybylski), her three grandkids, Sarah, Jeremy and Charity Przybylski and her five great-grandchildren, Destinee and Evan Silva, Richard and David Hagedorn and Heaven Rodriguez.

The family has chosen to hold a private interment. In lieu of flowers, they kindly request that donations be made in Evelyn's memory to the Glaucoma Foundation.  Spaeth Glaucoma Fund. www.willseye.org
