Obituary

Elaine Horneff (see Segeren) of Collingswood, passed away on December 31, 2024, at the age of 88. Beloved wife of the late George. Dear sister of Charles Segeren, Jr. (Melody) and the late Rennie Segeren (Lynne). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Elaine was born in Jersey City, NJ. She worked as a banker, for many years, before working at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Camden. In September of 1950 she became a member of St. Paul's. Through the years she served as Senior Warden, Treasurer, Assistant Treasurer and was a member of the Alter Guild. Elaine was one of the most faithful attendees of the early morning Eucharist, as well as daily Morning Prayer. Most importantly, she was actively engaged with the community to help provide for their needs. Elaine was the voice of support for the underprivileged and gave herself to the work of the parish and to the work of other nonprofit organizations toward the marginalized. When not working or volunteering, Elaine and her husband George often visited Bermuda. She was a loving aunt who will be dearly missed by all those who knew her.

Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation, Saturday, January 18, 2025, from 10:30 to 11 AM, followed by her Memorial Service at 11 AM at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 422 Market Street, Camden, NJ 08102. Interment will be private.
