With sadness and love, the family of Dorothy "Dottie" Carr, 70, of Glendora, announces her passing on Sunday, October 1, 2023.

Dottie was born on October 31, 1952 and raised in Glendora, NJ, where she proudly resided most of her life. She was a lifelong animal lover, avid reader and an active member of the Chews United Methodist Church. She recently retired from the United Way, where she was employed for over 40 years.

Dottie is predeceased by her parents Dorothy "Dot" and Augustus "Buddy" Carr. She is survived by her son Sean (Kristi), her brother John and was a beloved aunt to Ainsley and Landon. She is also survived by her Aunt Terry "Skip," and cousins Joyce and Walt, whom she grew up with, as well as numerous other cousins and many, many friends.

For those lucky enough to have known Dottie, they would describe her as a compassionate, loving and an exceptionally thoughtful woman. Dottie will always be remembered for her kindness and countless number of selfless acts she routinely bestowed to those around her.

Friends and family are welcome to join in celebrating Dottie's life on Wednesday, October 11th for a Memorial Service at Chews United Methodist Church, located at 319 N Black Horse Pike, Glendora, NJ. Visitation will be at 10:00 a.m. followed by services at 11:00 a.m. Light food and snacks will be provided at the church following the service.
