Christine H. Shell (nee Heiser), 97, was born in Philadelphia, PA, December 1, 1916 and passed away June 28, 2014. Christine was predeceased by her husband, Newton M. Shell; her parents, Gustav and Christine Heiser and her brother, George Heiser. Christine is survived by her son, Jerry (Elaine) of Barrington, and her grandchildren: Alan Shell (Kimberly) of Moorestown, Kevin Shell (Jennifer) of Barrington, and Karen DeLano (Frank) of Runnemede. Her great grandchildren are Danny and Timmy Shell; and, Lauren and Matthew DeLano.
Christine lived for over 80 years in Haddon Heights, and graduated from Haddon Heights High School in the class of 1934. She worked at Lit Brothers in Philadelphia and then at the PNC Bank in Haddon Heights and retired in 1983. Christine was active in the Haddon Heights Historical Society, the Senior Citizen's Ever Young Club, and the Ascension Lutheran Church in Haddon Heights. She was an avid reader and life-long Phillies fan, but was most happy being with her family.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Viewing, Thursday 10 to 11 A.M. at Ascension Lutheran Church, Fourth and Highland Avenue, Haddon Heights, followed by her Funeral Service at 11 A.M. Interment will be at Locustwood Memorial Park, Cherry Hill.
