Adele A. Stites (nee Galaini), of Haddon Heights, NJ, passed away on Feb. 12, 2014, at the age of 88, surrounded by family at Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center. Beloved wife of the late Earle Adams and the late Edward Stites. Devoted sister of Mildred Adams of New Castle, DE; Grace (Harry) Bieber of CO and FL; Hazel Maultz of Reston, VA and Marion Thompson of Columbia, MD. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by good friends Charles Mayo and Joseph Selb.

Adele was born in Brooklyn, NY and raised in Berlin, NJ and was a graduate and active alumna of Haddon Heights HS. She was a past Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star #227, Berlin Chapter and a former active member of the Haddon Heights Republican Club.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Viewing, Monday 9 to 11 am, TERRANOVA FUNERAL HOME, 402 White Horse Pike, Haddon Heights, followed by her Eastern Star Service and Celebration of Life Service at 11 am. Following the service, all are invited to a luncheon at the Coastline Restaurant. Interment will be Tuesday 11 am, Gracelawn Memorial Park, New Castle, DE.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions to the Adele Stites Memorial Fund at SCUCS, Senior Citizen United Community Services, 537 Nicholson Rd., Audubon, NJ 08106. She was a longtime volunteer there for the last 18 years and absolutely loved her work as a tour escort. She took so many trips with them it seemed she was never home!
