Adele A.
Petruzzo
Mar 11, 1924 — Sep 23, 2025
Adele A. Petruzzo (nee Preti) of Haddonfield, formerly of Philadelphia, passed away on September 23, 2025, at the age of 101. Beloved wife of the late Leonard Petruzzo and former wife of the late Jerry Morgan. Devoted mother of Thomas Morgan (Natalie) and Gina Levocz (Gary) stepmother to Maria Elena Lynn and Karen Conti and their families. Loving grandmother Colleen Moten (Jim), Rachel Morgan,
Dan Bevans (Rita), Jerry Bevans (Lisa), Elizabeth Baylor (Elgin) and David Bevans. A dear aunt to Carla Severino and the late Victor Finizio (Athena). Adele is also survived by 15 great grandchildren, 4 great - great - grandchildren, and 3 great - nieces.
Adele Preti was born on March 11, 1924, in Rome Italy. She had an idyllic childhood growing up with her mother and father and younger sister, Anna Maria. They lived as a typical middle-class family, and held in high esteem, since her father worked for the Italian government and was a Captain in the Italian army and fought in WWI. All of this came to end however, starting in 1939 when Europe fell and WWII began.
Then came the bombings, shortage of food, water and life had changed dramatically and would never be the same.
Her life would change again when she married Jeremaih "Jerry" Morgan, PFC from E. Wishart St. in Philadelphia and left her family and everyone she ever knew behind, for a new life in America.
For the past 79 years, she has built a new life and created a whole new family which she shared and nurtured through patience, tenderness, kindness, and love. She was always ready to help anyone and shared her smiles willingly. She will be greatly missed but left a long legacy for family and friends to remember.
Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation, Saturday, September 27, 2025, from 11 AM to 12 PM, followed by her Funeral Mass at 12 PM at St. Rose of Lima Church, 4th Ave. and Kings Hwy., Haddon Heights, NJ 08035. Interment Calvary Cemetery.
