Josephine M. “Jaye” Gerace, of Haddonfield, passed into the arms of her Lord on Wednesday, January 30, 2013, at the age of 92. Josephine was born on December 4, 1920 in Philadelphia, PA to Dominic and Mary Carbone. She married the late Dominick Gerace and moved to New Jersey, where she worked for many years as an executive secretary, for the RCA Corporation. After her retirement from RCA, she continued to work as a banker, before accepting the position of Executive Secretary, and then, Executive Director of the Sons of Italy Grand Lodge of New Jersey. She was a devoted member of the Sons of Italy Haddon Heights Lodge #2311 for many years, where she was President and Financial Secretary; and where, she recently was made President Emeritus. Jaye is survived by her sister, Anne Pietropaolo of Reno, NV, nieces Paula (Jack) Burns of Sicklerville, Linda (Joe) Wainscoat of Reno, NV and MaryEllen (Guy) Archer of Reno, NV. She is also survived by 4 great nephews, 1 great niece, 1 great-great nephew and 3 great-great nieces. Jaye was preceded in death by her parents, sister Carmella Fortucci and brother Dominic Carbone. Relatives and friends are invited to her Viewing, Tuesday 7 to 9 pm TERRANOVA FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 402 White Horse Pike, Haddon Heights (No Viewing Wednesday morning). Mass of Christian Burial is Wednesday, 11 am Christ the King Church, 200 Windsor Avenue, Haddonfield, followed by Entombment in Calvary Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions to Vitas Hospice Care, 521 Fellowship Rd., Suite 110, Mount Laurel, NJ 08054; or to, Sons of Italy NJ Foundation, Inc., 510 Marlboro Avenue, Cherry Hill, NJ 08002. A Special Thank You to all of her caregivers at Emeritus @ Voorhees and Vitas Hospice Care.
